What Is PeptiSleep? Ingredients, Research & What to Expect
PeptiSleep™ is a branded brown rice protein hydrolysate being investigated for sleep support. It is the featured ingredient in Ultra Labs PeptiSleep, a new arrival at M&M Fitness.
If you are wondering what makes it different from other products, the useful questions are straightforward: what is in it, what has been studied and what can you reasonably expect?
Here is our guide to the ingredient, the early evidence and the Ultra Labs bottle.
What is PeptiSleep made from?
PeptiSleep is produced by breaking down brown rice protein into smaller fragments, including peptides. Peptides are short chains of amino acids. The branded ingredient is distinct from ordinary rice protein powder.[1][1][1][1]
That distinction matters when reading promotional claims. A proposed explanation is not proof that a capsule lowers your nighttime cortisol.
Is PeptiSleep the same as melatonin?
No. Melatonin is a hormone involved in the body's sleep–wake timing.[2] PeptiSleep is a rice-derived ingredient, and melatonin is not listed in the ingredients on the supplied Ultra Labs bottle.
That difference alone does not tell us which product would suit a particular person. It also does not establish that PeptiSleep is more effective or safer than melatonin.

The full ingredient list on the supplied bottle is: PeptiSleep® Brown Rice Hydrolysate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide and hypromellose.
The 500 mg retail serving differs from the 250 mg dose analysed in the published trial. A larger serving should not be assumed to deliver a larger benefit. Follow the current product directions rather than changing your serving to match a research protocol.
What should you expect?
Treat PeptiSleep as an ingredient with developing evidence. We would not promise a particular number of extra sleep minutes, a guaranteed increase in deep sleep or an absence of morning grogginess.
If you choose to try it, it can help to note what matters to you beforehand: how easily you settle, whether you wake during the night and how you feel the next morning. Your experience is useful personal feedback, although it cannot establish that the ingredient caused a change.
Persistent sleep problems deserve assessment rather than repeated supplement changes. Speak with a health professional about ongoing difficulties or whether a new product is appropriate alongside your medicines.
